Case Study

Noon

Led product design standards and systems for Noon's design, product, marketing, and engineering organisation.

2016-2017

Led Design Standards and Systems across a 400+ person design, product, marketing, and engineering team, after the company had raised aggressively in MENA to compete with Amazon.

Initially invited in by design.studio, now further.group, who needed somebody to translate their brand pack into a functional product.

Unified design language across iOS, Android, and web. Delivered governance frameworks that let the team deploy quickly without losing consistency. Noon went on to a $1B+ valuation.

Implemented a version control system for design across the organisation, with standards applying to all designers who touched a Figma file. Abstract formed the core of this with Sketch, migrating the organisation away from Photoshop and Adobe XD, with messy PNG and PSD handoffs.
