Redefined Zeroheight’s design documentation product at a pivotal moment for the company

I designed the initial version of Zeroheight’s design documentation product at a pivotal moment for the company. Its earlier direction was being challenged as Sketch absorbed much of the surrounding tooling, so the opportunity was to reposition Zeroheight around a more durable problem: helping teams document, govern, and scale design systems.

I brought prior experience leading design systems and standards across a team of around 400 people, using that insight to shape the product around the realities of adoption: messy libraries, distributed contributors, inconsistent documentation, and the need for a clear source of truth beyond the design file.

That early product model proved unusually resilient. Much of the structure and thinking from the initial version still survives in Zeroheight today, nearly nine years later, in a product now used by 20 Fortune 100 companies.
